Aston Villa has confirmed that its main deal with online gaming site W88.mobi would cease after the season, with Cazoo taking over as the club’s front-of-jersey sponsor.

According to the club, the W88 collaboration, the club’s third leading partner three years after 32Red and Unibet, has reached “its inevitable conclusion.” Furthermore, the Premier League club’s agreement with Cazoo implies that it will not have a gaming emblem on the front of its shirt since the 2016/17 season.

“Aston Villa can announce that the Principal Partnership with W88 will expire following the completion of the 19/20 season,” a club official said.

“The arrangement saw them appear on the front of all first-team uniforms throughout the 2019/20 season, and their connection with Aston Villa will come to an end naturally.”

“The club wants to thank W88mobi for all their help over the past year.”

Aston Villa will continue to wear W88 branded jerseys until the conclusion of the 2019/20 season after both parties agreed to a short-term extension following the worldwide health epidemic that forced the campaign to be halted.

Furthermore, once the team was promoted to the Premier League, Aston Villa’s Chief Commercial Officer, Nicola Ibbetson, praised the deal as “a record-breaking commercial collaboration for the club.”
